Harley-Davidson Australia and New Zealand recently wrapped up its annual Master Technician of the Year competition for 2023, with Ben Adams of Road & Sport Motorcycles in New Zealand emerging as the winner.

In the culminating event, three top Harley technicians, namely Shane Webb from East Coast Harley-Davidson, Ben Adams from Road & Sport Motorcycles, and Paul Beebe from Northern Beaches Harley-Davidson, engaged in a live skills assessment at the H-D ANZ Headquarters in Sydney. This challenging face-off was meticulously overseen by H-D ANZ Technical Trainer Elliott Andrews.

On November 28th, the trio battled it out for the prestigious title of Master Technician of the Year. This competition remains dedicated to recognizing the outstanding skills and performance of Harley-Davidson's master technicians, a status that carries international acclaim and is considered a pinnacle achievement in the industry.

According to Nigel Keough, Managing Director of Harley-Davidson ANZ, "We have the best technicians in the industry and these are the pinnacle of them. It’s been a pleasure to see their craftsmanship and enjoyment of the work they do in practice in our national training centre. I congratulate them and all the great men and women who service our customers’ motorcycles each day in a Harley-Davidson dealership."

In addition to the Master Technician accolade, the Technician of the Year 2023 title went to Adam Wilkes from Gold Coast Harley-Davidson. His exceptional skills secured him this recognition, positioning him on the trajectory to becoming a Master technician. As part of his prize, Adam had the opportunity to witness the Master Technician of the Year Award skills competition, gaining insights from seasoned experts in the field.

The Harley-Davidson Technician of the Year initiative serves the dual purpose of fostering technician retention and acknowledging the top talent in dealerships across Australia and New Zealand. This annual competition continues to shed light on the excellence of Harley-Davidson's leading technicians in both nations.
